This is one we played last year at this time. Song titles that may have a 'spooky' meaning in the title or lyrics. Also, ghosts, goblins, cats, pumpkins, boo, witches, or any other scary or Halloween stuff! :)

    Hey, GB

    1. Ding Dong! The Witch is Dead. Which Judy sings shortly after arriving
    in Oz.

    2. Well I saw the thing a-comin' out of the sky.
It had the one long horn and one big eye.
I commenced to shakin' and I said "ooh-eee".
It looks like a Purple People Eater to me.

    3. Thriller

    4. The Thing, a hit for Phil Harris in the days of my yute.

While I was walking down the beach one bright and sunny day.
I saw a great big wooden box a-floatin' in the bay.
I pulled it in and opened it up and much to my surprise.
Ooh, I discovered a boom-boom-boom, right before my eyes.

    5. Ghost Riders in the Sky

Don't make a mistake when playing this game, Kids, 'cause it
    will be a Boo Boo!

    Hi Kids

I see I posted Thriller above which Tiger Lilea had already posted. Uff-da!
Well, what can one do when one's brain no workee?

GB, don't think I ever heard of The Devil Went Down to Georgia. I do
remember an old song from the 30s or 40s called The Devil and
The Deep Blue Sea. Same composer as the Wizard of Oz songs; Judy's
    favorite, Harold Arlen.

Moody River and Patches. I remember both from the 50's. About
unhappy teens who do away with themselves. And Teen Angel
who went running back to get a High School ring.

Theme songs from Ghostbusters and The Adams Family.

Bibbidi Bobbidy Boo. The "Boo" is supposed to be magical, not
scary, I think. In any case won Disney an Oscar.

Rock, The Devil Went Down to Georgia was a song by the Charlie Daniel's Band in 1979. I don't remember where I heard it, but the title stuck in my mind somehow!

Those were sad songs about teenagers. There was one called "Honey" a few years later that was really sad too. Never cared for those.

Good songs Rock and Patti. GB

'Boo' Heaven and You and I, from the operetta The Desert Song by
Sigmund Romberg. The Broadway show was made into a movie in the
50s with Gordon MacRae and Kathryn Grayson.

Over the years I've had about 4 recording of this melodic gem. Kitty Carlisle
starred in one made during WWII. She made several recordings then. Since
vinyl was in short supply, some of these recording were done on glass. Doesn't
seem possible, does it? I suppose the glass was just the base for whatever
    coating went on top.

And I have an entire CD of cat songs sent to me by my Aunt and Uncle
back in Minnesota. The recording was made by Garrison Keillor. Includes
such gems as The Cat Came Back and Eine Kleine ("a little" in Deutsch) Cat,
    and Granma's Cat.

    Black Cat, Janet Jackson
    Haunted House Blues, Bessie Smith

Over at the Frankenstein Place from The Rocky Horror Picture Show.

    Hi Diane

Glad to see you and your computer are up to posting. Good thing Kevin
is available when succor is necessary.

Anybody remember the names of those chipmunks? I'm pretty sure I do.
The problem, as Dave Barry has pointed out, is that our brains get
filled up with sludge such as the lyrics to commercial jingles and the
names of cowboys horses and who played what position for the Red Sox
    in 1962.

This leaves little room for more crucial data such as our pin number or
the location of our keys. And on the subject of names, anybody know
who David Bagdasarian is? That's right: David Seville.

Lions and Tigers and Bears, Oh My! Pretty scary.

Anyhoo here's a cheerful tune about dancing bears. The song was written by
Dr. Seuss, I guess. I previously read it was written by the Irish singer and
songwriter Tommy Makem. Well, anyhoo I used to have a recording of it
by Tommy. They were both creative, and both are now gone.
