Just wanted to wish my Online Family a very HAPPY THANKSGIVING!

Despite living with chronic illnesses and limitations, I still have a lot of blessings in my life and a lot for which I'm thankful. I hope everyone else has a lot of blessings too.

    Love, Mikie

    Hi Kids

If you go to the above site you can see a wonderful Normal Rockwell
painting titled The Homecoming. It was a Saturday Evening Post
Cover in 1945 or 1948. Different sites have different dates. I think
it is suitable for Thanksgiving or Christmas.

The site has all the information about who's who. Norman Rockwell
is in the painting plus members of his family, models he used in
other paintings and a couple of other artists including Grandma Moses.

At the request of his brother Gordon is making the green bean hot dish
that is ubiquitous this time of year. I am so old I remember when it
was new. It was the year I was a sophomore in High School: 1955.

Ike was President. McDonald's was new. A galleon of gas cost a quarter,
and Salk's polio vaccine prevented thousands of new cases. Coke first
appeared in cans. Elvis signed with RCA, James Dean died and Disneyland

    Momentous times.

Thank you all for coming together to wish everyone a Happy Thanksgiving. I am thankful for my family, my Florida family and my Online Family. Y'all don't know just how much you have helped and supported me through good times and not so good.

Rock, thanks for the walk down Memory Lane. It's a walk I like to take despite trying to live in the present. I think I got as much out of the past as I could and am glad I did while I was able. Now, I have my limits but am still trying to wring as much out of life as I can. Someday, I may look back on today as being "The Good Old Days."

Wishing everydobby a most excellent day.

    Hi everybody,

A very Happy Thanksgiving to y'all!!!! Kevin and I had a nice lunch. Dishes are in the dishwasher, and it's running. Kevin gets sleepy from the turkey gravy. LOL Now he's napping. LOL

I think we are blessed for finding this board and maintaining the friendships we made. Y'all are great! Have a good Turkey Day! :)

    Hugs, Diane

    Thanks again, everydobby.

Paula, Julie and Diane, I'm so glad to see y'all here. Julie, those pix are precious!

We had a typical FL holiday, eating out on the balcony in the tropical breezes.
