... especially the back, neck and shoulders. Does anyone know what these are and how to relieve them? I've tried accupressure and massage. I know not everybody with CFIDS/FMS get them. It has been suggested (by a layperson) that it might be lactic acid build up. Does anyone have any thoughts on this?

    Thanks for your thoughts.

According to Dr St Amand (if I understand correctly), these are build ups of phosphates, as we are genetically unable to rid our bodies of the stuff.

Now this one, I've been told by my specilist, is actually your muscle holding water!!!
I can't go seeing him and say my backs hurting if it's not because he NIPS me!! That's his way of determining where the pain is coming from!!
I often ask my hubby to have a look at what I think is a bruise, when he does, there's nothing there. When I told Dr Freed about it that was the explanation he gave me!!
Yes it is all part of FMS. I find when my muscle goes lumpy, it also feels bruised.(Got a lot of that to-day!)
Hope it helps knowing a bit more about it.
