I can't lay down now or sleep ( even while taking ambien) because of the cramping and the extreme headaches that I get from "any" pressure on my head.

I am in physical therapy, water therapy right now, with an order for cranial sacral therapy which she will start tomorrow.

I feel I am in big trouble here. I just took darvocet for pain ( when needed ) flexiril,a muscle relax ( when needed) and effexor. I have taken these for 5 years.

I had an injection for this cramping, etc.in my neck this past month, ordered by my nuerologist, it's back, it didn't work. Now I have these goofy extreme headaches when I put pressure on my head.

    I am so confused. Scared.

Ron is so used to "wolf calls" that he is tuned out and bless his heart not a good advocate for me right now. I feel like a big baby.

EVERY time I see a dr. I tell them about this cramping...

    Any guidance??
Thank you for the listening ear in advance..

I don't know what to tell you. It does seem that your neurologist should be running some tests.

I get a lot of pain from TMJ in my jaw and neck. I also get Extreme Cluster headaches which I take Relpax for.

Maybe you're experiencing some form of migrain.

When my cluster HA come very few remedies really help. I have tried all forms of pain relievers. Relpax is the only thing that has touched the pain.

I have had this for years. My neurologist does a sort of muscle relaxing technique that really seems to help. This condition is very painful.

I had the neck injections also, they don't seem to last very long. What has worked for me is doing to stretches they teach you in physical therapy. That at least helps. Im sorry you are in so much pain

Did your specialist diagnose TMJ? Sounds like typical symptoms to me. Had years of horrid headaches from neck spasms. Only thing that helped was soft tissue massage to the spasms right at thebase of the spine. As others mentioned, cluster headaches and migraines too. Please read the book on FM/CFS/ME by Devin Starlanyl and Mary Ellen Copeland. It describes your symptoms and all the others as well as treatments. I cannot recommend it enough because it has the answers. Good lucK! By the way, the pains did get better in time.

Thank you for your super support! Hope4sophia,wyattsmom,
coolma - I will look for that book- empty2void,
debstieb, what is your new medication regiment, may I ask?

The word for mwa, last week was Patience.

    Patience at PT>
I expected my p.t. to start on the cranial sacral for my symptoms, listed above, this past Fri.
The nuerologist wrote the order for cranial sacral release. I had taken an article to him about the axis of the head -spine, etc. Anyway, Fri, I hear, lets get in the pool... I obeyed! lol

The word for mwa, this week is ~ Assertive.

    PT Monday.
I will ask if she will work on my neck for the cranial sacral treatment AND the water therapy.

I believe I may begin to live with this dd if they would address my symptoms above which I truly believe have to do with the axis, what I understand to be the swival joint of where your neck joins your spine. I was in a bad car accident and believe between that, a divorce and pneumonia 12 yrs ago set me into fms.
    Thank you all.
I am so grateful for your time.
I will let you kids know how my cranial sacral trtment goes.

  7. I had the scariest thing happen to me a few yrs ago, it was like a muscle spasm/charley horse in my THROAT! It scared me, I never mentioned it to anyone because it never happened again. I couldn't breathe, I panicked.

I also have terrible neck/back of head pain, I do neck exercises and take lyrica for it. Sometimes it helps, sometimes not. Don't really know what to tell you. good luck.
