I have had eye pain now for 4 months and it is not getting any better. Can anyone help me out with this? I get servere headaches with the pain. I am in a big flare-up right now and could also use suggestions to what pain meds I should be taking. My arthritis is also bad, especially my knees and shoulders. What do I do?

    Thanks for the help.

Yes, I have had eye pain, but not for months. I get headaches behind my eyes and they just ache. I don't know if it's sinus pressure or not, but I take midrin and it helps a lot. Heating pad on the eyes has helped me too.
I feel for you buddy, I know how this hurts. I think I would try a decongestant if you don't have migrane medicine.
Hope you fine someting that works.
    LOL, Nanna

    Sounds like Migranes.

They come on suddenly for me and usually Excedrin Migrane works great. Also just started using Imitrex for migranes and also gets rid of the pain.

I have arthritis in my knees and I use 800 mg of Motrin to relieve some of the pain and wear a brace when possible.

I commonly have eye pain from my FM/MPS. It is from the numerous tender/trigger points around the skull, especially those along the temples and at the back of the head. It can even hurt to just move the eyes.

The last concussion I had in 12/04 I hit the right side of my head just above my ear on a pointed cupboard door. I had the CAT scan & was told I was ok. I've been on Neurotin since then. Last summer I was diagnoised with Fibro, but I know I had symptoms for a couple of years prior to the last concusiion (I've had at least 3 in the last 10 years)

Most of my headaches are on the right side of my head. I have really been wondering if there is a connection.

I do have problems with sinus infections & migraines--sometimes it is hard to tell the differance. I've been dealing with some terrible headaches the last couple of months--

recently had eye exam with dialtion--that didn't help at all, got new glasses--adjusting to bi-focal progressive lenses, also TMJ issues--which also a factor too.

Addition--And eye dr. said I have the beginnings of a cataract in my right eye too.

i can. I had an episode with my eyes a little over two years ago now in which I lost vision in both of my eyes almost completely. After that cleared up, my left eye was never the same--it has stayed blurry quite a bit, the color vision in it is almost gone, and it has a lot of pain behind it almost daily like what you describe. Is yours sensitive to sunlight also when it flares up? I was dx with fm a year ago now. No one has been any help to me with this. I've been to all kinds of eye specialists. Would you please post if you find out anything?
