    Hi,
I am curious if anyone has had to wait FOREVER it seems to get their Disability and been through the process at the Appeals Counsel level? If so how long was the wait on a decision for it to come back? I have read it could take 6 months to a year and I am at witts end with all of it already. Just wondering if it is true. Very flusterating and don't know what to do. Of course Attorney doesn't ever return my phone calls to ask him what I can do to speed up the process if it is possible. Medical bills are way out of hand with me and getting very flusterated.
Thanks for any and all replies.
    God Bless,

I applied for disability in May of '01. I was approved after my second appeal but half of our states records are sent on to the regional office at Denver and they turned over the decision. So then I had to appeal & schedule a hearing. I am wondering how long it took for you to get the law judges decision? I had my hearing 9/11/02. (what a day to have it huh?)He was quite awful & even my attorney was angered by his behavior.Disability is her specialty and she couldn't believe how he treated me. She says if I am denied we will definately appeal.I am still involved in litigation for my injury in August '00 and that is all he focused on. This judge retires at the end of this month so I am hoping to get his decision soon. I had great medical records & documentation to support a positive result by I am doubtful he will rule in my favor. Good luck with yours!

    Hi,
I had my hearing on April 1st 2002. I received my decision the end of June. I was hoping for good news because it was prompt denials before the hearing. I was wrong. I know that with my hearing he had a Vocational rehab specialist come too and with all of my problems she said there was no job that I could work and be able do what was stated on my disability test such as walking, standing, using the bathroom that type of thing. And I was still denied! The Judge was an A** if you know what I mean. My old Boss whom I had been working for even went to the hearing with me for support {like a Dad to me...} My Attorney, my Boss, and I thought I had it easily. There were too many things on my side. Well, with his decision he did not use the Voc rehab lady's testimony nor did he listen to any of their four Doctors' who stated I deserved disability and all the Doctors I had. They are all jerks and do what they want to do in my opinion. I am truly flusterated I am sorry.
I live in Iowa and my claim was sent to Denver also. I didn't understand you, have you been through the appeals Counsel and did you get it overturned by the Appeals Councel this September? (Brain isn't working for me today) Sorry.
    Thanks
