Has anyone taken Restoril? Have you had any luck with it?

Yes, I took it years ago and didn't even know they still made it. It worked on me then, but I don't know how it would now or not. I've got such a high tolerance to any medication like that I just don't know about it. I think I'll ask my doctor about it and see if he comes through.

    Good luck

I have taken Restoril for sleep and it worked well, for a while, then it was not working so well any more so my doctor switched me over to Klonopin which I like even better.

A word of caution, both these meds are addicting as they are benzo's.

your replies! If they're addictive and you can build up a tolerance then how long is it safe to use them?

I've taken it off 'n on over the past 15 years. When it stops working, I stop it & switch to something else.

All of these valium-derative drugs are addictive. I came to know that I would be taking addictive drugs for the rest of my life, unless a cure for sleeping disorders was found.

Your Dr. will advise you about dose, etc.

Never had a problem getting off of it; just no sleep unless I got another one.
