has anyone tried Accupunture for fibro pain?

  1. Just curious if it has helped any ones fibro pain? It is one avenue I haven't tried. My rheum. dr. says it won't help, but neither is he really helping either but doling out drugs. anyone?

    No i have not tried this , my rheumy has mentioned for me to try this , i have appt. again in 3 months so i may go for it. My rheumy did prescribe a TENS Unit (muscle stimulator) which i'm not seeing any relief with.

    Again this may be something that does not work the same for everyone.
    Maybe some get relief with accupunture and others may not.

    Your rheumy should give you a prescription for the accupunture and let you decide if it helps you any. If you do decide to do this , post to keep us informed if this helps you.

    It does help it really relaxed me after the pins were in as hurt some when put in but only for seconds. If my current insurance would cover I would still go. I liked the chinese type far better then Japan kind. It would not hurt try it.

    except I felt illthe next day my chinese Rheummy told me that it would not help !!!
