Has anyone used the traction table at Physical Therapy?

I have severe arthritis in S/I joint on the right side and a protruding disk right at that area also. I have had about 3 treatments using the traction table (where they put a weight belt around your waist and the straps of the weight belt are attached to the table and it pulls adding weight and pressure to your spine) and now am having pain on the left side as well. I have asked not to use this table again. My understanding of the use of this table is to stretch the spine and allow better circulation to the area. Just wondered if anyone else has used this and what results you received.

    Thanks,
