    Hi all,

Have any of you heard of the barnes test for under active thyroid. The information i have read says that blood tests dont always show there is a problem as they dont know what your range was before you came ill.
You have to take your morning temperture on your 2nd 3rd and 4th day of period and if it is under 98 degrees then it shows you have a problem with your thyroid

I mentioned this to my gp last night and he didnt know what i was talking about. He says he will do another blood test but i know it will show normal or on my last test just inside normal.

Anybody ever tried this method and has it worked.

I saw a doc who specializes it these DD and he does this test. Although, for some reason I don't remember doing it on myself!
