Hawthorn for heartbeat at Walmart

One of the CFS researchers recommends it. But I am positive he didn't 'discover'
it but reads other researchers. Like Cardiologists.

I use a treadmill for about 10 minus once a week before yoga. I have been
taking Hawthorn for several years. Twin said that I was of at the age (62)
and I should take 2 in the am now.

Well, I had been trying hard to keep my heart rate (pulse) in the high 90's
and it would go up to 104 at times.

On double the hawthorne. It didn't even think of going above 88 except twice
and a few deep breaths brought it back down.

Also, for anyone with mitral valve issues. My brother was diagnosed with
that but given no help from the Card. for symptoms. "just live with it".
Well, the Hawthorne has helped him so much he can't believe it.

Always check with your doctor (or at least the internet) :) for serious problems.

I forgot to put it costs about $5 for a bottle at Walmart.

    Hey :),

Hope you are doing fine !

Interesting to hear your hawthorne experience. Most doctors I think are just geared towards operating and not preventing. So tough to find integrative doctors. I have just today got this book " reverse heart disease now " by Dr sinatra and its superb !! Talks a lot about latest research on various supplements which can be such superb prevantatives for heart problems but doctors wont talk about them. It talks about Nattokinase, bromelain, L-Arginine, L_carnitine, CoQ10, magmesium etc. Very interesting!

    How about you?

My sis talks about Dr. Sinatra some. I think I have tried most of those
supplements. None of them has wowed me like hawthorn. Though I do
    take magnesium and potassium.

I'm sure some of them I need to take but I am not good at taking things
that I don't feel an effect from.

There was a woman who took one of the rx antivirals for a year. Yes a
whole year and then great results. I really admire her patience! But I
can't remember the name of it :(

What brand of hawthorn are you taking? I've been taking a form of hawthorn from Nature's Way called Heart Care. I don't know if it's helping or not, but keep taking it, so please post what brand you're using. I know it would be cheaper at least!

Deepak is right about Sinatra's book it's supposed to be excellent. I've read that magnesium in particular is supposed to be very important for mitral valve prolapse, also CoQ10.

We are becoming our own doctors!

When I first bought Hawthorn, I did buy it at Walmart.

Then when I started with the magnesium and potassium, I somehow got over
    to GNC.

So, my recent experience was on the GNC brand.

The Walmart seems stronger. So, if you go there and I do plan to get my
next bottle there. Start with one and see how that goes.

Ok, Walmart seems stronger but the GNC has the Leaves and Flowers Extract
    and that might be different!

Proceed with caution! Yes, Mary, we do have to find our own way and lots of
time through the help of others!

Will say that Twin and brother take the Walmart brand.

Seems it helps to lower BP and tachycardia. Think I'll give it a whirl. Thanks.

I had forgotten that 10 years ago my then ND recommended it for me. Somehow along the path I quit taking it. May give it a whirl again to see if it helps me. :)

Good to see you are still around here. ;)
