    Very nice Quilt!!

It shows that you have put in alot of hours make such
    a nice piece.

I am not sure if there is enough "Orange" in it.

Sorry to hear your "Orange" dYe faded. We need to find
an "Orange" dYe that doesn't fade if it is going to be

I am working on picking out the "Orange" exterior
house paint. I need one that won't fade if it is going
    to work.

I love your blanket Hayley! It looks really cozy!

I am not sure about the protective qualities of orange but heck I am willing to give anything a try if it lessens the pain!

Please help a typical stupid male. What is the
difference between a Quilt and a blanket?

Does a quilt take longer to make?

Hayleycole I admire your efforts. 21 months for the
    embrodery alone. That is determination.

Redwillow your hair is a georgous colour of red,
I would consider it close enough to the healing
powers of "Orange" to do some good. What do you
think? Does your hair colour help you?

Gentle bear hugs to you both

Thank you for not stomping off at my ignorance.
I am having a male day.........
I look forward to seeing the whole quilt.

Even an old dog like me can learn something new.
Did you notice I even changed the title to reflect
your hard work and dedication to the quilt.

I guess a blanket is something you buy at Walmart
    and then dye "Orange".

It will be so exciting when the "orange" dye gets
delivered. I think we should serve cake.....
(Any excusse to serve cake is OK for me)

I haven't seen that movie, is it any good?

    "Hayleycole and Bruinz day"?

    Wishing you an "Orange day".

I will place that movie on my "To pick up" list
at the local movie store. It sounds good.

I would have a hard time taking a picture of a
Quilt. It would be tough for me to find an area
unclutered enough to lay the quilt down on.
I would probably have to take it to a park and
lay it on a picnic table to take the picture.

    Wishing you an "Orange" day.

Here is my definition of Quilts vs Blankets:

A blanket is something you go to Walmart and buy to keep you warm but everyone and his dog has one similiar to it.....

A quilt is handstitched work of art. Warmth is the practical side but quilts are considered an art form.

To produce a quilt you are "quilting" or stitching 3 layers together.

Layer 1 being the beautiful handmade top that Hayley made of alternating green and orange squares. The hours of beautiful embroidery add texture and make it truly unique.

Layer 2 being the batting to make it warm and soft.

Layer 3 being the Orange backing which needs its orange colour replaced.... To hold the whole thing together. Once you bind the edges together you have a beautiful heirloom that will last for years.

As for my hair Bruinz, the red and blonde highlights (I guess that makes orange! lol) are purchased at a salon. I never thought of them as being theraputic in any way but they make me happy when I look in the mirror so I guess that works!

Next time my husband comments about how much I spent at the hairdresser I will tell him that it is therapy and necessary for my health! LOL

Yes lots of work...Like the orange green red cream combo...

Very different color combo then I've seemn before in a quilt!

I also like the stair step effect the blocks have...

    Your son will love it!

OK, the pic was there earlier...I see that the colors are pumpkin, yellow...I guess they looked different on my screen.[This Message was Edited on 11/15/2006]

    Hi Red (Orange)

Thank you for the schooling. You guys are so smart
and my shopping cart is so empty in the "Smarts
Super Market". I would have no trouble getting threw
the "11" items or less check out........

Your hair colour is definatly theraputic but it may do
more for us than you...... Worth the cost......
How many "Blue" (Best in show) ribbons do you have so

    Gentle bear hugs
