Do any of you experience constant or frequent headaches? It just seems like I always have a headache.

I had an MRI done to rule out stuff, last week I had a CT scan of my sinuses because the doctor is pretty sure most of the headaches are sinus related. I haven't gotten the results for that yet.

I'm just sick of having a headache...As if I don't have enough pain ya know?

Thanks Carrie for the warm welcome :)

I can't take Excedrine because I have asthma too (as if FM and arthritis isn't enough.) I have Ibprofen 800mg for the arthritis pain and the headaches and if it's a sinus headache I usually take Tylenol Sinus.

I am going to be calling my ENT today to see if they have the results of my CT scan.

    Thanks again everyone!!

My headaches get worse the more tired I get. First thing in the morning I hardly feel my headache. As the day progresses headache gets worse. If I have a good nap my headache is almost gone again. If I don't nap in the day I get killer headaches. At night when I stay up as long as I can so not to go to bed to early I get bad headaches.

Does anyone else have headaches like this that come and go depending on how tired you are?

I get terrible headaches too. Sinus, migraine, tension, daily, etc. I get them all.

My migraines are often triggered by sleep, too much or lack thereof. Sleep disturbances are a major trigger for migraines.

Topamax has really helped to reduce the number of migraines I get, but I still suffer from sinus and chronic daily headaches too.

Some are more sever than others. It seems when I get close to my monthly they increase in strength turns into a migraine. and I have to take a Tramadol. But i normally have some type of headache somewhere during the day. I can even wake up with them. I hate them as they make me feel like I am in a FOG to much.

I get alot of headaches too.
Someday maybe they'll wanna test as to why?
Its kinda scary when your getting 4 outta 7 days a week a pounding throbbing headache!!
Thats at least 4 a week. Sometimes I get them everyday for a whole week.?? mine also feel like sinus,...but some are migraines.
I get muscle contraction headaches too. The kind where your neck feels all stiff and sore along with the head pain. I take a med called fioricet for my headaches.
They help most of the times but not always.
    your not alone~
wishing you better days ahead :)

So sorry you have so many headaches.....I know what you mean. I get them all the time and mine are mostly realted to stress! I'm learning how to relax a little and that massges do help tons at the base of my neck and shoulder area. I can feel it getting tight and then I know a headache is coming. Sleep does help most of the time....hope you're feeling better soon!

Hi Tandy..I've had Fioricet for headaches before. After my daughter was born I was having the most crippling spinal headaches (an effect from the spinal from my c-section.) Fioricet was the only thing that helped. Only problem is, it makes me really sleepy and I can't take anything like that when the kids are awake :(

Vicodin helps too, but again, makes me very sleepy.

I get headaches especially when I'm in a flare from turning my head one way or the other for too long. That is when my pain meds work really well for that.

Since I went on Prozac in 1996, I haven't had the headaches that I used to have. Prior to Prozac for FMS, I was having constant headahces and I, too, had a CAT scan and MRI.

The neurologist I saw said they were tension headaches I was getting, but when he found out I had FMS, later on, he got very ugly with me and told me he didn't treat FMS. I gave up on specialists a long time ago.

    Hope you feel better.

Hi Amy and Welcome to the Board!

I have had headaches since I was 19. I have a headache almost every day. I wake up with one almost every day. I’ve got chronic daily headaches, tension headaches, migraine headaches, sinus headaches.

I’ve tried many, many things to get rid of my headaches – acupuncture, herbal remedies, homeopathics, SSRI’s, Botox injections, many prescription and OTC pain relievers, removal of mercury fillings, and the list goes on.

Things that make my headaches worse:
Lack of sleep or poor quality sleep
Poor diet, specifically too much sugar or too much junk food
    Stress (of course)
Too many pain relievers (cause rebound headaches)

Things that make my headaches better:
    Good sleep
Eating healthy (I’ve started Stormy’s shake, too)
    Imitrex (sometimes)
Oxycodone (yes, it is on both lists)

I’m sure there are more things to add to each list. I’m going to keep this list in my files and keep adding to it.

I’m always looking for the “magic bullet” to get rid of my headaches or at least get some relief. They sure get old!

I feel your pain and totally sympathize! If I find any wonder cures, I will certainly share!

Hi ... I too have headaches most every day - One (non Rx) thing that comes to mind is Breathing/Diaphragmatic Breathing, etc. I really believe in the importance of it (wow, I'm very foggy writing this!) --- there are many techniques and practices/exercises .....

I mainly have learned to use it for control of anxiety -- but once in a while I'll skip pain meds in the a.m., maybe go for a little walk outside, get to the state of having breathed fully (deep breath and long exhalation) and realize that the PAIN is almost all GoNE !

I wish you luck, Amy, and fewer headaches.

We take pain meds and get headaches!! Go figure... I just take aspirin when I get a headache - even a migraine if I catch it in time. Yours sounds like sinus, though, so you'll need an antibiotic for it, I suspect.

I too have severe headaches. Sometimes they wake me up--I take vicotin and skelaxin
I never get relief just ride them out. This year they have been really bad. I live in Southern Indiana and expect the weather has something to do with it.
