Does anyone else suffer from major headaches? I constantly have a sinus infection and I have headaches A LOT! Today is a monster headache. I have gotten sick numerous times. I can't eat and I can barely type. I'm trying to work today but had to go home and lay down and come back. I'm going to have to leave again pretty soon because I can't stand it!

    Just needed to vent...

I drank a Gatorade yesterday morning and I took some headache pills that contained caffeine. It was a miserable night! I will try the grapeseed extract now that I got paid today. It's been really tight at my house since I'm a single mom and I've had to miss so much work. I'm sure the stress doesn't help anything!

Does anyone take something to help build your immune system? I seem to be sick ALL the time!

I will definitely pick up some GS. I will start it with my vitamin D that I have to take now. Also, I have to have a monthly B12 shot that I have to administer to myself. I'm not looking forward to that!!!

Thanks so much for all the kind words. Last night was awful but I'm feeling pretty good right now. 1 more hour of work and then I'm free till Monday!!!

How much should I take if I weigh 160? I want to go slow with it and see what it does.

I have been battling headaches and I have been taking grapeseed e tract and no help !!!!! I think it's either allergies or fibro because they start out with headaches on top of my head and then they move to either right side or left side of my head!!!! It drives me crazy!!!!! So I take advil gel caps and when that does not help I cry!!!!

Jaminhealth. The only thing I see that grape seed extract has helped me with my stomach problems. I still battle with headaches and allergies but I try to fight not taking advil . I have been experimenting by taking elderberry wine . I have been taking 1 shot glass 3 times a day it says it's good for arthritis rheumatism and respiratory and grate for colds and flues . And it is good for tje heart. I've only been doing this for a week and it really calms my nervous system down and I do sleep better. I do not drink enough to get a buzz just enough like all these other juices they say are good for you. I figure I would do this thru the winter at least. To see if I see any other benefits. Oh it's high in vitamins and minerals 2. I am so glad to talk to you jaminhealth. I love seeing your posts

Thanks for telling us about the benefits of Grape Seed Extract.

I was looking around a popular site and saw that Muscadine Grape Seed, 500 mg. is about $10. Do you know if this type of GSE is as beneficial as others? It is less expensive so I'm guessing it is from a less expensive grape.

Thank you for your help in advance.

I will try both types of Grape Seed Extract, maybe at 200 mg. a day which you explained would be good for a person of around 160 lbs. Since it is a good antioxidant it might help with sinus infections as well as headaches.

I, also, have excruciating headaches which has been blamed on a bone spur in the nose, barometer changes, a severely degenerated neck with bulging disks, fibromyalgia and arthritis. It goes on and on. The main areas of severe pain are behind the eyes (like ice picks) and in my neck. Mornings are usually the worst, but it seems as if a storm is coming that will make it worse.

Saw a surgeon a few years ago and even though the MRI should lots of potential for nerve root impingement, he didn't have any answers for me. I've tried epidurals and they are not helping either. Very frustrating and depressing. I find sometimes that running a cool-mist humidifier is soothing to my sinuses and using a good cervically supportive pillow helps a bit.

Wishing everyone improvement in their pain issues!

Sorry to hear about your suffering. I too get recurrent headaches. Have you been checked for migraines. Your doctor can give you a migraine med that helps tremendously. I take one called Amerge and sometimes I take Frova. Your doc can probably give you some free samples of these to see which works best. When I start to get a headaches I take a pill then lie down with a cold pack on my head and put a small heating pad over my hands which shunts the blood from your head to your hands.
Also you can try feverfew or butterburr regularly as a preventative measure. I think there was an article recently posted on ProHealth about headaches. Hope this helps some. Jenn

Jaminhealth!!!! Went to see my intregative dr wedensday and asked about taking pycnogenol and she said NO!!! That with auto immune disease issues that you should not take it. And fibromyalgia/Cfs follows in that category!!!! She said that my adrenals are shot and wants me to do a spit test so she can tell me where my adrenals are at and just to keep taking advil or advil migraine for headaches she does not offer prescription drugs just supplements. And migraines is probably inflammation if I cannot tolerate them to see a specialist. So I am upping my grapeseed extract.

It doesn't matter what I take...they seem to keep getting worse. I had to miss more work yesterday. I think the stress of worrying about losing my job is just making things worse. I just want to feel better!
