I have a brief question I hope someone can help me. I have tried to get on social security and have contacted three attorneys who have all told me my husband makes too much, but we just filed bankruptcy and they told me it didn't matter, I cannot get ssi because I have not worked enough in my life. I have no income at all.......I have looked everywhere I sit home all day and can no longer stand it please if anyone can help me I would really appreciate it.

It does not matter one bit what your husband makes for SSDI, which is what I get. SSI,which is basically welfare, is different, and it may matter. If you are declaring bankruptcy, I would think you would qualify for SSI. Try calling your local social security office instead of the lawyers and see what they say.
