HI, I am new to this board and live in Central Missouri.
My neurologist is at the University Med. Center in Columbia.
She would like me to be evualuted by a Rhuemy for FM but they have only 1Rhuemy left at the University and they are not
accepting any new patients till they get another dr. I have been to Washington Univ. in St. Louis before, but I would
like to hear from someone on this board from Mid-MO who
really likes and trust their doc.
    Can any one help?

Welcome to our board. I'm glad you found us. Your post rolled over to Page 2 before most could see it, so I'm bumping it back up to the top.

    Love, Mikie

Don't know if Kansas City area is too far for you or not. Mid-America Physiatrists in Overland Park, KS (just across the border) treats FM, a doctor named Steve Simon is supposed to be the best there! I have seen both Drs. Reece and Nalamachu (he generally does FM diagnosing) there, they are also good. Let me know if you want more info----I realize this may be farther than you want to go. They are physiatrists, also, not rheumatologists....

Good luck, hope you get responses with docs who are closer!

    Hugs,
    Pam

My brother works at the university! He just received the Presidental Award for being the best in Telehealth Communication in the World!!! He is very proud of himself right now. I told him it just made his head bigger so it will be easier to punch!!! Anyway I see Doctors in St.Joseph Mo. I have traveled to Columbia and I know what you are dealing with there. There are several Rhuemies in St. Joseph. Just look them up on the internet. I, Myself go to the pain clinic to get the help I need. I havnt seen a Rhuemy yet but plan on it soon. By the way I live in Chillicothe, Mo. Have a great day, Sis
