Does anyone here have temporal arteritis? Does it go systemic? Is that's what is happenening when posters here say they have neck nerve problems?

Dear Fm friend has it; on morphine! Still in agony.

Any suggestions for her? Would COq10 help her arteries?

    Thanks for any help....

Temporal arteritis is a very serious condition and needs proper therapy immediately. One needs to get onto Prednisone or complications can occur. If, in fact, this is what she does have, I hope she is seeing her physician. I don't know if Coq10 would help or not.

Yes she's under about 28 drs. care...

Really, going from one to another, biopsies, all kinds of meds that work for awhile, then don't. She's in absolute agony, and it has caused her FM and CFS to be 10x worse, too!

Mostly, I'm trying to understand what causes it inflammation of the arteries? Is it bodywide? (seems it starts in temple area?). What in the world causes it?

She's in early 70s, so kind and giving to others, I only email or phone, and feel so helpless to not have any idea what to say to her.

    Thanks for listening....
