I take Hawthorn berries and Milk Thistle, There was another one but after the Dr. told me, for some reason I forgot which one it was. If I don't write things down immediately, I forget.
    Anyone else with that problem.

In addition to the liver it helps high blood pressure.

is also very good for the liver, although I think milk thistle is about the best.

Also, lemon juice is very good for the liver and digestive system - you can add it to your water.

I take a hawthorn product for my heart.

Not a herb but an amino acid, nac- n-acetyl-cysteine, also lipoic acid.
NAC is used in hospitals for tylenol/paracetamol overdoses and is used IV but have read studies where oral nac works just as well. It works by increasing glutathione, the bodies natural antioxidant which then protects the liver. Being on long term av's i use it for liver protection.

Not an herb however beets are really good for your liver esp if you take any kind of meds. Fresh beets are best, but canned ones will help too.
