I hate to say this, but "welcome to my world." I've been a secretary for 30 years and there are days that not only can't I type, but I can't even think of the word that it's suppose to be.

I don't know about you, but my fingers go crazy sometimes too and seem to type different words than what I want them to type.

It's not easy, that's all I can say.

    Welcome Lindy..

..although I'm so sorry that you need to be here..

I've had FM/CFS for 15 years and I have been exactly where you are now.

If not, you NEED to find one! There are things that can make you feel better, and I even found a medication that stopped all of my symptoms after 14 years!

If you want to look for my posts on "Xyrem", I'd be happy to talk to you about it. Your list of symptoms is shorter than mine was, but I had EVERYTHING on your list!

    God Bless,

    julie (is free!)

It sounds like you probably also have a candida problem. the thrush is caused by yeast. Yeast can invade your entire system.

I take 1200 mg of garlic and one AZO yeast pill every day. This has made a tremendous difference for me. I was having vaginal yeast infections, three or four a month. I started taking AZO Yeast and have taken that for three years. I started garlic this year. I plan to add Pau D'Arco soon.

I don't think I could have ever began to focus on other issues until after I had gotten the yeast issue under control.

    Hope this helps

Sorry you're feeling so horrible!!! You are not alone -- even though I know that does not take away the pain you're experiencing.

As someone else has mentioned, finding a doctor who understands this illness is imperative. Not an easy task, but you can use the help of this board to do that as well.

Also, as mentioned, treating your yeast/candida situation is a must. This alone can cause that mental fog you are experiencing, dizziness, fatigue, pain, as well as your difficulty swallowing. The fact that you have yeast in your mouth is a huge indicator that the candida in your system is extremely overgrown.

There is help. Hang in there.

Welcome! I came here two years ago
    very ill at the time.
I am happy to tell you I am 90% better if I could get over my insomnia and anxiety.

I learned it's a lot of "trial and error" on the road to recovery.
Your best step was finding us.
Hopefully you will experience what I did.
After coming here, within a couple of months I became very proactive to get a good doctor. That is our biggest challenge!
There is a list of recommended doctors on this we bsite, you might check it out.
In my opinion, first your pain must be treated.
There are many helpful people here.
    I wish you the best!
For pain I've had luck with Ultram and Tylenol Gel Caps (2 day) ,
however in the past I used Soma and Vicoden.
It just depends how bad the pain is.
I have a excellent pain specialist, thank goodness.
I'm looking forward to hearing from you again...

    Take care...

Sorry to hear you have all these problems. You won't feel weird here, as many of us have similar symptoms and other health issues.

What sleep disorder do you have?

I hope you find help and support here!

    Hi there.

I am relatively new here too. I have not even been formally diagnosed with FM, but I am 100% sure I have it because I have just about every single symptom and a strong family history of it.

Sorry you are having such a hard time right now. A lot of us here can empathize.

This is an awesome board. I would have lost it without the support and information here.

be here for you and someone will always understand exactly what you are going through. Do not feel embarrassed or ashamed. We all either have FM or CFS. I have FM and I had to leave the job I loved. You are scared right now and I do know all about that!! This board has been a God send for me.

    Welcome to the board!!

This bag of tricks is tough.

There are often new symptoms that seem random and strange to most....but not here. We all understand because we all have the same weird things too.

After being here a while, you'll see that what once seemed strange makes more sense after learning more about this illness.Read all you can (both on the board and books too).

Now you are probably wondering what a yeast infection and IBS and joint pain have in common....Fibro is the answer. There are a lot of strange things like that-that don't always make sense until you come hee and see how it is all conncected.

You will be O.K. Decide that you will NOT let this get the best of who you are. Fight this with knowledge. Having a doctor that is understanding, that really listens, and is willing to try new things, is VERY important.

If you can sleep and feel rested, and you have a good doctor, and you have a determined spirit...it will be a good start to a great fight to get control of your life back.

I wish you luck and hugs,

Welcome to the board....but sorry to hear about your health issues. There is NO doubt, you have found "another" family; at least that's the way I feel. I sign on here almost everyday or night and have learned more here than I would if I read boocoos of health books and SSD books/info.

Not to mention, everyone here is sooooooooo nice.

you may feel alone but you are not alone. this board is helpful. i was diagnosed almost 8 years ago. back then, there was 1 or 2 books on this illness in my library. no doctors would help me. my family did not, and still dont, believe or understand.

finding sites like this one has been lifesaving. keep coming back. look for other resources as well. honestly, you will have to be your best advocate. unfortunately, this illness requires an inner strength while we watch our outer one fade away.

    hang in there. God bless!

so sorry you have developed this disease. PLEASE do not worry about typos. I have them all the time and really don't care - no one else does.

You will find symptoms that seem so strange. i am afraid that they are all part of Fibro. Confusion is one of them - mis-speaking is too. i call wrong things by the wrong name - sometimes even people.k

kGetting off balance is too. ii am careful in walking -I don't want to add a broken bone to my list. You be careful too.

kPlease, don't be afraid to say anything you wish or ask any kind of a question. They have all be asked by one of us before and we don't embarass at all!! if you are just 'down" write it on the board and someone will try tpo cheer you up. Allthe board are dear and wonderful friends.

So many times soneone has lifted my spirits, even though they have no answers.

Try to find a Dr. who cares and knows what to do.

Gentle Hugs and Love to y9u

    God Bless you
