Hi, Guys. I am new to this too. Just finding my way around. I am so happy to have found this site as there isn't a support group in my area. I look forward to learning more from others with CFS/FM and will share my experiences also. I have been suffering with both for 14 years and there is still so much to learn from this disease. Iv'e been to Specialists, Neurologists, Accupucterist etc. I try anything and everything to find some relief from fatigue and pain. I'm sure you will learn a lot and the support alone will make you feel much better!!! Hang in there and good luck. Elisi

    Hi Tammy
It's Lisa You wrote me recently. I am so happy we became friends. How are you feeling? Me okay today but the past 3 months were terrible a lot of inflammation and i have been sleeping 14 hours a day. Today, I woke up at 4pm and told myself that I am going to fight this. I signed up at a gym and went on the treadmill for an amazing 45 minutes and 30 working out my arms. I am drinking more water and i am noticing it is helping. I had to drink 2 cups of coffee to achieve this but i am hoping eventually i wont need coffee or so much... I increased my mood altering antidepressant and it is helping me see a better perspective and it is motivating me...What are you doing to help your condition? Where do you live? Are you taking meds? what kind and do you feel a difference?
    Keep in Touch,

It is nice to meet you, however, I'm sorry that it is under these conditions. I'm 24, and was diagnosed 2 years ago. However, I first got sick when I was 15 and had mono. Never fully recovered from that, and now I have CFIDS.

You've come to the right place for support, though. Sit back, relax, and make yourself comfortable.

    Gentle hugs,
    Kim

    Hi Kim,
It's Lisa I was wondering what cfids means? Do you still get mono? Did yous Dr. prescribe you anything? Do you exercise regularly? Do you work at all? Do you see your Dr. on a monthly visit? Do you notice its hard to concentate and do you have short term memory yet? How many hours do you need to sleep each day? Do you get depression from this? Kim I never met anyone my age with this. Do you get fybermyalgia also? Please excuse my spelling. Thank you for answering all my questions I just feel so alone with this disease. When ever you feel like talking write me. Oh do you live in Fla?
Gentle hugs and God Bless You,
    Angelisa337

    Hi,

I am 47 and have had this since 41 ish. Mine was a slow evolution.

I just started going onto this site because this is my summer of trying to fix things a bit better...

This is a good site you will get a lot of infomation from irons, to footwear, to prescribed meds and natural. Any way to give information is great. Sometimes such little things help.

One thing I did was to lower my steering wheel! Another as a teacher was to not write on the board so much, use the overhead. Get a good pillow, get good sleep with meds if necessary! Pace yourself! One doc told me I just had to get active again (go climb Camelback Mtn for those of you who are phoenix natives you know what I mean) (pre diagnosis) one said lose weight (I was 120 at 5 ft 5) Vent! Find someone to vent with.

Take care 29 I hope something here helps a little. My doctor recently told me I'm doing well for someone with FM and everytime I go into this site I remind myself of this. YOU ARE WHY SOMETHING MORE NEEDS TO BE DONE! THIS IS A CRIME FOR YOUNG PEOPLE! I am sorry, Karol
