I 39 years old, I have been with the same person for 6 years. We have 5 kids, 1 Girl and 4 boys. We Also have 4 cats, 4 turtle.
I was told I have fibromyalgia in feb. 2004. I also have depression, anxiety, sleep disorder, von willebrand's disease, carpal tunnel syndrome, migraines, mild disc bulges in neck, 5- ovarian cyst s/p surgerys, nerve damage, raynaud's disease, plautar fosuites, temporomandibular disorder,IBS.
I don't know how to relax and take it easy. I get some help from my family. But you know you really can't tell them everthing, because they will worry. And they all will get on my nerves.

Sorry you are having so many problems.

Have you found any meds that have helped you?

It must be difficult with a big family like that

Just wanted to say welcome and hello.
I have FM, CFS,IBS.DDD. RLS, etc...
    alot of garbage.
I want to give you hope and support..
can you recall what or/and when your symptoms started and were you tested for viruses and/or stealth pathogens.
I thought my life was just going to go downhill and I would just have to deal w/it..
but I have had relief w/certain supplements
    and certain medications,
and anti-virals have made an extraordinary difference.
I was bedbound a couple of years ago.
my illness was actually set off from breast implants...
I am now in RN school full time,
and studying 6-7 hours a nite after school.
I know if I can be doing this there is hope.
I know I may fall and burn but Ill get back up and do it again, cuz I hate this DD.
please let me know these questions.
    I feel for you.
when I was taking care of my girl a few years ago, she would go to school and cry and tell her teacher that her mommy is dying..
I thought and felt like i was.
it sounds like you need to first get relief for your symptoms, do you have a good doc in your area willing to help, if not ask us!!!
    God bless,
    Iggy

i start to feel funny about 6 years ago.
i was tested for everything in the book, but came in clean.
i still feel like i'm going downhill and i have yet to hit the ground.
i have alot of doctors and they all hear me. they try to help me with everything so far.

    Thank you so very much!

welcome to the board. I'm a newbie here too.

I'm mom to 3 who are capable of running off in four different dirctions at once. LOL.

You are soooo blessed to have doctors who listen. Those are rare in my life. When I had gall stones after my son was born the doctor thought I was making it up. But I ain't no actress...

Currently I have arthritis, plantar faciitis (sp?), overall fatigue and pain and a bunch of gynae stuff. And something or other in the TMJ too. I am trying naturopathy and the ND wondered if I have fibromyalgia. I need to find a sympathtic medico to confirm or otherwise.

I just found a family doc who seems like she might be helpful but then she went on mat leave! So I am waiting for her to come back, I guess I could go an speak to the locum but I want some continuity.

Relaxing is hard for me too... maybe we can share any tips we find :)
