Hi everyone! I'm new to this wonderful message board. I have been lurking for a while and have already come to count on the support that everyone is so good at giving. I have had this DD for 17 years and after seeing many docs, am pretty much treating myself with natural products that have worked better than all the meds I was on before. I work full time as a Hospice manger and am also raising our 6 year old grandson so as you can imagine, I keep very busy. I do fairly well but still have a problems with flares (as all of you are familiar with). My primary doc is not knowledgeable about FM so I am still searching for docs in the St Louis area. I tried to make am appointment with the doc that Jaysie mentioned but her FM panel was full. I couldn't find the other list that she mentioned about docs in St Louis. Could someone help me out? Thanks so much for this board! Deb

Hi Deb, glad you decided to post, and join in the discussions.

The list for doctors are; http://www.co-cure.org/Good-Doc.htm

Many of the members here have found some very good doctors here.

I also treat myself, gave up on doctors awhile back! This board has been a God send to me, along with Pro Health's products.

The biggest help I got was through supplements, especially magnesium, also a lifestyle change. If you are interested, I will tell you what I take.

I also have had Fibro for a longtime, 20 plus years to be exact. I keep my grandson from birth till he was five years old, could not handle it after that. He is 16 years old now, and still my best buddy!

Again, welcome to the board, and hope you fine what you are looking for soon.

    Shalom, Shirl

    Deb,

Hi, I don't know if I am supposed to do this or not, but am going to give you the names of some other doctors who treat FM. I hope the moderators will leave it up long enough for you to see it if I am not supposed to do this. Try Dr. Robert Schneider (or Snyder - not sure which) on Old Ballas Road, Rheumatologist who specializes in FM...Dr. T.Z. Chen, Christian Hospital Northeast Medical Building, Anethesiologist who treats FM with Meds and if needed injections (very nice man)....Dr. Cynthia Guy who is addociated with Barnes Hospitals and all of their associate Hospitals, Pain Management Specialist. I don't know which name I gave you before. It is hard to communicate when we can't post e-mails. I have many docs names. However, the last time I posted my e-mail address I was swamped with spam including a load of Porn. I guess some people just can't leave a good thing (this board) alone. You can also search for the American Pain Management Association and pull up names of doctors in St. Louis area who are certified to practice pain management. If none of these pan out post again and I will try to post some others. I don't get to this board too often and don't have time to read a lot, so you might want to post it to my attention and keep it "bumped up". Or, refer to St. Louis in the title.

    Take Good Care,

    Jaysie

    Deb,

There is more than one T. Chen so be sure you get T.Z. Chen on Dunn Road if you call him.

Thanks you so much for the docs names. I really appreciate it. You had mentioned Dr. Schuman before and like I said, she was completely booked up. It is nice to know that there are others in this area who are in this and stick together!! Thanks, again. Deb
