I was sitting here thinking, is it sad that I have to talk to strangers? But, it has made me feel so much better. Thanks. Meme

    Hi Meme,

I'm grateful to have everyone here as well. Thank God no one in my life has this terrible dd... I've gotten through really tough times because I've had these message boards.

It's sad we all have the same thing to talk about. I wish we were all out riding bikes, taking walks with our dogs or anything else we want to do.

Hope you're having a good day.

You will get a lot of informative discussions here about fibromyalgia. Have you just been diagnosed? If we dont answer your questions right away some are gone from the board.
Some can answer them much better.

We are not strangers we are your friends

Welcome to our bit of heaven amongst our hell.

This is one of the few places you can go, vent how frustrated and in pain you are and people actually understand and don't try to placate you with "Oh, you just need to walk it off" or some other such nonsense.

We understand when you say me legs feel "aaaaaahhhhhhhh" or I'm so "ggggggrrrrrrrrrr"
We know just what you mean. It's sad to know others understand the feelings but it's also a comfort to know you aren't crazy.

Hang in there Shelb, we are always here. (well somebody is :))

It makes me feel better talking to all of you also. My mom and I talk alot because, we both have it, it is very comforting when somebody knows what you are feeling. :)

We won't be strangers long if you stick around. Besides, many people have their social lives online these days. It's normal.

Do you have CFS/ME or FM?

Well, as a 21 yr veteran of both, I can tell you, there aren't many
who will understand....but here, you can always find someone to
talk to...and the chit chat board is a really fun place!

Welcome, and I hope all newbies do one thing: Read Osler's Web,
and visit the author's website, also. (Hillary Johnson). Take your
time reading it; it is a comprehensive history of 'CFS', which is really
a stupid name for a devastating illness. Knowing this history is sort
of essential to understanding some of the things posted and discussed

If you have FM, know that it has recently been classified as a
    neurological, not a muscle, illness.

Hope you hang around and get to know the wonderful, supportive
people here...some are VERY smart, too....

    Best to you,
