hip joint . . . one leg shorter than the other

not too long ago i was exercising; lying on back and putting my right leg over my left leg, my right leg got "stuck" (it was very painful) as i was going to the left side, then seemed to pop into place (this is hard to explain, hope someone understands).

Told my Rheumy, and he said my fascia was stretched and it had nothing to do with the hip joint.

I now have a limp and feel that my right leg is shorter than my left. I've never had this problem before. The limp is throwing my body off balance and it is painful to walk.

Has anyone else had this problem, and how did you correct it?

    Thanks for any assistance.
