    Hi y'all --

    Here's volume 4, with a bit of a "twist" --

    Name That Actress/Actor!
You can add comments to your guesses -- favorite movie she/he starred in, etc.

This could be an easy game, or not. :) We'll see!

    ENJOY!

    Diane

    Hi Kids

I think the guy on the left in pic 4 is John Davidson. Used to have an album of
    his. Pretty good singer.

All I recognized were #6 and #7. I don't recognize most of them even though I've heard their names all my life, just don't know what they look like. Strange, since me and hub love the old black and white movies - we have 100-pack DVD movies galore.

Is #8 lil Rosie girl? She's the prettiest star of all!

    Hi, y'all!

GB, you are GREAT at this game! Oh, the golden age of Hollywood! :)

    Here's the answers:

    1 Esther Williams

    2 Lana Turner

    3 CYD CHARISSE

4 Joan Blondell, pictured with Bobby Sherman and David Soul. The pic is from "Here Come The Brides" -- TV show 1968-70. I couldn't find a pic of Joan Blondell (by herself).

    5 Jane Russell

    6 Humphrey Bogart

    7 Dick Van Dyke

Patti, Picture 8 is cute, isn't it! Looks just like my Faithy cat. I was browsing through pics I had on my 'puter, and found the cat with the STEELERS football. :)

Thanks for playing. I might have more pics to post later.

    Diane :)

Hi Diane, we were posting simulsametimeahly. Well, I know most of the folks you
    posted.

9 is Debbie and Eddie, the love birds. Eddie had a great voice. Debbie was a
triple threat: could act, sing and dance. Saw her live in Long Beach as the
    Unsinkable Molly Brown.

10 is Mickey Rooney. As Andy Hardy? The Andy Hardy movies were Louis B. Mayer's
    favorite films.

14 is Fred MacMurray. His best film was The Egg and I. He and wife June Haver
were on one of those long Lucy programs where they searched for uranium.

15 is Jack Klugman. I read his autobiography a few years back. Tony Randall's too.

Some I don't know; some I'll leave for the rest of the gang.

Very good, GB. I'm pretty sure you're right about Ava and Sal. And right with
    the funny people too.

I hope the pics I posted stay put this time.

Gracie predeceased George by 32 years. They are now "Together Again" at
Forest Lawn in Glendale, CA. The site is an elegant marble alcove in a huge
mausoleum with built in benches. George used to visit regularly and talk to Gracie.

    13) CLUE: Starred with Larry Hagman in a TV show

    12) SAL MINEO, and the other star 1s:

YOU ALL ARE GREAT AT THIS GAME!

I have to admit, I did not recognize Fred MacMurray when I found his pic! LOL I remember him as:

Good clue, Diane. 13 is Barbara Eden. I read sometime, not too long ago, she was
doing a photo shoot as Jeannie. The photographers wanted to know if she was
wearing the original costumes. She said, No.

The wives of the executives kept borrowing them to wear to Halloween parties.
Some were worn out; some never returned.

Don't know who Sal Mineo's co star is, but I recognize him. I think he always
    played an unlikable character.

And the last pic is My 4 Sons with William Frawley. Frawley dropped dead
while walking in Hollywood a few years after I Love Lucy ended. William
    Demarest took over the role.

Was looking at a book on Hollywood musicals a couple hours ago. There was
one in the 30s that starred Irene Dunne and Randolph Scott. Seems to me
he usually played cowboys. Anyhoo the film had two of our friends from I
Love Lucy. Frawley and Elizabeth Patterson (Mrs. Trumbull). I saw her
in a different movie from the 30s. She looked just the same as she did
    in the 50s.

    Hi everybody,

I forgot to close out my portion of this game! Oops!

PIC Number 12: Sal Mineo and VIC MORROW, the pic is from COMBAT.

Rock, did we solve all of your pics?

Hi, Diane, I think some of the pics I posted weren't identified. It's hard for me to
keep track these days. GB got 4 of them correct. The others include Chicko Marx.
Groucho said during an interview that it's pronounced Chick-oh. I always though it was Cheek-oh.

And Sid Caesar, and Pinky Lee, (both popular in the early 50s) and Rich Little.

Here's another one. Her autobiography had a wonderful picture of her in
costume for the play Auntie Mame. Lots of actress have romped through
that crowd pleaser. But I couldn't find that pic on the internet.

Here's another TV star from the 50s. Or did I already post this. Uff-da!

    Eve Arden and Jack Paar.

That's right, GB. Eve and Jack.

There have been lots of late night shows since the 50s. My favorite
hosts were Jack Paar, Johnny Carson and Dick Cavett. The ones they have
now seem indistinguishable to me. They never say anything witty or
quotable. Maybe they need better writers. Or better guests. Something.
