Ever since I got fibromyalgia a few years ago I have a nervous feeling because of all these symptoms. I have symptoms all over my body but my chest seems to be the scariest. It feels tight, sore and I have a full feeling. It actually feels like bubbles are gurgling in my chest. My heart is constantly beating around 120-130 and feels irregular. I had it checked and they say theres nothing wrong with my heart. I have myself convinced if it keeps going this fast its going to wear out or I'm going to have a heart attack. Anybody else get these scarey symptoms?

My have a very rapid pulse, do you? Mine is 120
at resting. One dr. put me on a beta blocker, Ziac,
to lower it. It is now about 88.

Like its not bad enough that you feel like you are going nuts because of all the crazy and confusing things you do, you feel like an elephant is on your chest!!! My pulse at rest is 128 most of the time, and I don't EVEN want to know what it gets to when at work and under stress.

If your chest really feels like an elephant
is on it I would be very concerned. Pressure
is supposed to be a warning sign of heart attacks.
    Please get checked out. Lynn

Those are scary symptoms, when did you last see your physiciab? In additon did this start only when you were diagnosed with FMS or more recently. I would definatley have a doctor do a thorough cardiac evaluation, if your physician cannot find any physiological reason, you may be experiencing anxiety that has been described to me by my clients in a very similiar manner. Do you have any other symptoms of nervousness or excessive worrying. This DD is difficult to cope with and i know that often I have been anxious and worried because of it myself. However firts make sure its not a physical problem, if it isn't perhaps joining a FM group or working with a pain specialist would be helpful. However first go to the doctors. Let us know how you are doing Hugs.

I have an esophagus that reacts "allergically" to almost everything, and it stays inflamed and feels swollen and sore in my chest and MUCH pressure. I've had endoscopies and it shows inflammation and reflux.

I've had EKGs and they say it's normal and my heart is normal the doctors say. I also have a hiatal hernia, though.

But when I'm in a relapse, I get a much heavier feeling in my chest and I don't know why. When I have a bad relapse it feels like my thyroid is really afftected and my heart rate is much faster and I feel so heavy.

Are all of you gals that say your resting heart rate is 130, etc.....are you serious? Is this all the time or just part of the time. When you wake up in the morning, and before you even get out of bed, your heartrate is STILL 130 or in that area? Good lands, if this is true, you need to be on something to slow it down before it wears out, or worse yet, you go into cardiac arrest from the continual fast rate. My heartrate is between 65-70 resting and if I get estrogen surges, it might jump to 90+, but that's it. Get this checked gals, this ain't right.

Also, hypothyroidism will slow down the heart, not speed it up. Hyperthyoridism will speed up the heart, and that just might be what some of you have.

Get this checked and keep us posted!

Yes, I too have suspected thyroid troubles. I'll be going to the doctor in a few days. The last doctor years ago I saw said it was normal but now there's a new guideline to go by I learned from this board. THanks everyone.
