I'd really like to know! I've been to Fam doc, Neurologist Internal Med Specialist and so far no one has actually confirmed my diagnosis. Thanks, Laura

My dr. confirmed my rheumatoid by a blood test. She took 3 before she sent me to rheumatologist. She said I either had rheumatoid arthritis or lupus. She said they are similar. Rheumatologist did blood work and said I had rheumatoid arthritis. Donna

You must have 11 of the 18 tender points on exam. I saw several neuro's and a rheumy. A couple of the neuro's and the rheumy said I had fibro but none checked me for the tender points. I was diagnosed by a fibro specialist who actually checked me for the tender points and boy did I have them. They really hurt. I was "ouching" and pulling away and jumping while he was checking them. He said I had classic FM.
