    I was reading some research papers today that indicated that
    *Endrometriosis
    * Fibrocystic Breast Disease
    * Premenstrual syndrome and painful periods

    were very much associated with FM.

    I remember writing to a thread about this not so long ago (try putting endometriosis in the search at the top of the page) and lots of women (including myself) had it. I dont know if blocked tubes have any connection to endometriosis or not.

    Hi Cara:
    I had endometriosis and had to have a hysterectomy for it, it was so bad. That was 25 years ago. So, I definitely think there is a link between fms and endo.

    Hi, Cara-Sue:

    I don't know whether endo is a symptom of FM, but there is definitely a connection between the two. There are too many of us who have both. I also had the dye test-wasn't that fun? Both of my tubes were blocked. I later had a laparascopy (one of two) and I was diagnosed with endometriosis. For the second laparascopy I went to a endo specialist. He did a good job removing the endo from my tubes. They were open when he was done. Not sure how they are now since it's been almost three years ago I had this done. Are you hoping to have children? If so, you will need to start trying not long after the surgery. Can't remember the exact timetable. Check with your doctor.

    We need to hang in there as hard as it can be some days. I have hope that there will eventually be a cure for both FM and endo. By the way, if you do have endo, I can give you the address for the Endometriosis Association. They can give you lots of good information and support. They also have lists of people who want to talk to other people with endo.

    Good luck.

    Endometriosis, it got so bad that they had to do a hysterecotomy. It wouldn't surprise me if the are linked together.

    The FM came first...11 years of that crap!!Then I was DX with endo in 97.I've had a few surgerys to remove the endo,it comes back within 6 months of the surgery!!whats the point!! I have alot of pelvic pain,spotting,tailbone pain,ovary pain....everything pain!! Lol The two conditions are linked~They are beginning to think that endo is also autoimmune. Its definetly challenging having both! Best of luck to you~

    It sounds like the link to endemetriosis is almost a certain thing. I had a total hysterectomy 6 years ago. The doctor said it was the worst case he had evr seen. My fibromyalgia has gotten worse since then. We're in it together, at least. Of course, what is the excuse for men?

    or however that is spelled? Yes, me too. Not as severe as it sound like others here have had it. Mine is not a problem since menopause; Nor is my fibrosistic breasts and PMs

    We all seem to have these things, this has been documented in research I have read. But WHY ON EARTH would we have so MANY weird, diverse problems, all under one heading or two, in my case.......FMS and CFIDS.
