I thought I heard it was $600 a month and I may be able to participate in a clinical program I posted about. Should I call my case worker and find out? Or can you just do it.
    Thanks for any help!!!!!

I believe the 2008 limits for earning money while on SSDI is over $900.00 per month, and if you earn less than $740.00, it won't count as a "trial work month". Also, whatever you're doing to earn money must be considered "gainful" employment - I don't think being in a clinical study could be defined as such.
You should be OK; if you're not sure, go ahead and ask your case worker or call someone at the local SS office and tell them the situation.

Is that $900 gross or net income?

I don't think that being compensated for being in a clinical study would even count as gainful employment for the purposes of Social Security purposes.

The $900 is the gross amount for the income on Social Security. They do, however, permit it to be spred out, if one makes $200 one month, $300 the next, and say $1,100 another month.
