Has anyone else ever been diagnosed with this? Yesterday, I went to see a specialist because I have been having back pain for as long as I can remember. A little over ten years. The pain and burning levels have recently started to get out of control. Various doctors have reviewed my back, took xrays etc. Several doctors thought I had a pinched nerve, but no one has done an MRI as of yet. Yesterday at my appointment I was diagnosed with Hyperactive Hypersensitive Nerves. Even the slightest amout of touch or movement seem to irritate my back which in turn causes a lot of pain and burning. It is so intense that not even Darvocet is capable of relieving any of the pain. Is anyone familiar with this?

I too am hoping someone has some information they can share. I have not been able to find anything at all. I am frustrated because I am usually pretty good at finding even the oddest of things on the internet. Crossing my fingers I will find something here.

    Thanks again,

Although your message on prohealth is over 7 years old, I decided to write you anyway. My husband has similar symptoms for the past 3 years and has undergone tons of testing to no avail. He cannot even wear a shirt. The wind is even excruciating to him. Is on so many different kinds of pain meds and none really help enough. Feels like burning skin in his complete torso. Chest as well as back. Has been to several doctors including Johns Hopkins which specializes in nerve pain. No diagnosis other than hyperactive nerves. Have you discovered anything more?
