I am devoting myself to prayer.

I can hardly stand it! There is so much to do and so little time. Priorities are what is needed. Yes, that is it. A list should be made of all the vital things that need to be done and then the most important ones can become the focus. After all there are some things that are so important they require the most time, focus, and attention. You must devote yourself to such things. Chances are you have devoted yourself to your spouse, children, and even your job. It may be that you purposefully selected the things you would devote yourself too but it is entirely possible that you may not have given it much thought.

Of all the things that you can devote yourself too there are few that will have more of an impact or be more eternal than your devotion to prayer. Prayer is a powerful weapon in the arsenal of spiritual warfare. Prayer can be directed exactly where it is needed and change things! Prayer is not a passive experience but rather an active and deliberate activity that can move the heart of God. It is important to be devoted to some things that will impact your life and the lives of others. Make your selection but always include a devotion to prayer for yourself, for those you know, and for those you don't know but want God to touch. God is so devoted to you that he sent his only Son to die for you so that you may have eternal life. That is devotion! Shouldn't you then be devoted and committed to prayer not just occasionally but continually and purposefully?

You may not have given much thought to your devotion to prayer. Now you know to pray always. - Gail Lindsay

Your post is something to really think about.

I for one will admit that I have put other things in life before prayer at times.

I'm going to devote myself to prayer and make it one of my main priorities on a daily basis.
