For a couple of days now when I have to go I better get to the bathroom..and I feel like I have to go all the time..And when I do go I go alot..

Before when I have had this and told my dr. she did a urine test and it was fine...

I have read before on here that it could be realated to you neck or spine...Unless my mind is not working again..

But my neck is soo bad...I have been really over doing it and paying big time...

    What do you think???

I have the same problem about as soon as I need to go I better be near a bathroom. But mine is a little different b/c when I go sometimes I dribble and sometimes I go a bit and then I have to push a like I am having a bowel movement to get my bladder to empty but I have had these problems since they tore my bladder while I was having a hysterectomy. I don't know what to do about it. For now I just wear Poise Pads b/c I may not make it in time and sometimes when I cough sneeze or laugh I unrinate a little, or sometimes alot.

    Good luck with this, Pamela
  3. I dont know if this is a symptom of fibro but if it is it must have been my first symptom .I dont even feel the need to go and it just comes out of me.I have been telling doctors for years .They say do those exercises nothing works I can't even laugh or anything it's terrible. Ruthie

    Thanks you guys..

I don't have a problem when I sneeze or cough...It's just when I have to go there is a lot of pressure and I have to dance around to even make it to the bathroom...

This is something that comes and goes...I have had it a couple times in the past...

Sometimes it is when I stand after sitting quite a while. Of course, hubby is usually in there first. Several times i have had to change everything from the slacks on down. Mortifying. Always been at home. had trouble with sneezing and coughing sometime.

I wear and mini-pad sometoimes when I am going out somewhere. I also find that if I sit up very straight on the toilet and push and push to get the bladder empty ity helps.

Spinal stenosis is supposed to cause some of the trouble.

Oh the fun, fun, fuin of these DD!!

    Gentle Hugs.

Yes...I have things bothering me...I have been pondering on quiting work for a couple of years now..

I do hair and it just takes a toll on me and my neck...I am down to 1 day a week...I do it in my home and it just causes a lot of stress...

But I have done the people I do for 16 years and I love the money...It's a delema of mine...

But I find this to happen when I am having a lot of pain..Especially my neck...

I just went through an MRI with my neck and I do have arthritis with bone spurs and DDD...

My chiro told me to watch for symptoms cause it is all pretty close to the spinal cord but I don't remember what symptoms he said...I will have to call him..

I just wonder if it all could be realated...It scares me..

The only new things I have started is some juice that has all you fruit and veg. serving for the day...And a green food supplement..

What I am wondering is could I be detoxing...

The juice and the greens really are good antioxidents...

Just a thought..I did start these about the time this all started...

    Hi Sheryl,

I recently saw a urologist for bladder problems. He checked things out and after taking into consideration that it started after a fall I'd had over a year ago he sent me to an orthopedic spine specialist.

The ortho doc found I had spinal stenosis from a bulging disc compressing on the spinal cord and this was causing the problem. Both the ortho and urologist felt cervical disc surgery was necessary to fix the problem and prevent further spine damage.

I was having problems with urgency, frequency, incontinence upon standing, sneezing, or laughing
frequently. I also noticed tomato based sauces, coffee, citris fruits and chocolate would aggravate my symptoms and make them worse. The urologist found I wasn't able to empty my bladder completely either.

You never can tell what is causing bladder problems until everything is checked out. I sure didn't have any idea that a spine problem was the cause of my bladder problems.

    Thanks jeanette...

I think you were the one I asked about this on another post...It just really has me worried..

It happened after I had moved a lot of furniture and packed up my sons bedroom..We are redoing his room so we had to empty it out..

Then after that I have just had really busy days..

My neck has just been hurting sooo bad..

Funny you should mention those foods..I just had spaghetti for dinner one of those nights...

I think I will at least make an apt. to talk to my chrio and see what he thinks...I need to ask him about the pain shooting down the inside of my leg too..

He did just go over my MRI with me last week or so...And he did give me things to watch for...But I don't know if this was one of them..

I have arthritis...with bone spurs and the disc are bad in those spots...It showed on the MRI that it goes into the fluid that's around the spinal cord in those spots..Some of the spots looked pretty close to the cord..but I'm not expert...But I think that is why he told me to watch for things..

He called it Melyopathy??(sp) I could have the name wrong..But it is something to do with it hitting the spinal cord..

    Thanks for your response...

    Take Care..

I have used an Oxytrol patch with great results for urgency.

You might want to look into Interstitial Cystitis

This is how I started on this journey. I had hurt my back and a few weeks later I had urinary frequency, urgency and leaking. Within a few days of this, my whole saddle area went numb. Very scary!

The dr's all assumed I had a disc problem in my lower back, but MRI's showed I was fine.

The urologist ran all the tests and everything with that was fine too. He believed the muscle spasms in my lower back irritated the nerve root to my bladder.

I went on Detrol and it worked within 48 hours! He also gave me a list of foods that can irritate the bladder - sorry I didn't keep a copy. It might be worth looking up though.

I hope it goes away soon! Mine took four months on Detrol to calm down, but I am good as new!

I have been having problems with my lower back and having this pain shooting down the front of my leg...Maybe it's all related...I'm starting to think it is coming from that and not my neck??..

I guess I have to many things wrong to figure out where it is coming from...LOL

    I'm fallin apart!

I feel like I add a new pain every couple of months!

You should definitely get your back checked out and make sure it isn't something besides fibro!

    Good luck,
