I feel better just before and during the onset of a cold WHY?

I always notice a significant reduction in symptoms just before a cold/flu infection and during the first couple of days of onset of the infection - why is this??

What is happening to my body during this time to make me feel better? Is the immune system doing something different or is my body just having to concentrate on killing something else instead of its own tissues?? - I'd like to try to replicate this if possible.

Guess there won't be too many responses to this - even the Immunology specialist was flummoxed...LOL!

  2. well my take on it is, when your sick your body feels so limp and relaxed so this relaxes the muscles and you feel good?

I do the exact same thing. I have always wondered if my immune system kicks in because it knows that I am going to be sick a couple of days before my body is hit hard.

During that time I enjoy the benefits of the hyped-up immune system and it makes me feel better.

I tell my family that sometimes I hate it when I feel soooo good, because I know I am getting sick!
