I am from N.Y. state down here in Florida for the winter. I have fibro. and it was a very hard trip. It has taken me a while to even feel a lessening of the pain. I see a pain specialist down here and called him when we got here as I was going to be out of oxycontin and klonopin. As they are state controlled drugs I could`nt bring a script. down with me. He said he could`nt see me until mid. Dec. I was going to be out of meds. before that + know how I suffer without them. Finally I got an appointment the last of next week. I will be out of pain meds. for three days. I don`t know how I will stand it.Say a prayer for me! I need to feel your thoughts and caring behind me. Thanks!

One prayer coming your way as I type. I hope the Florida sunshine helps keep you feeling ok until you can get your meds refilled.

Sure will keep you in my prayers and thoughts too.

Be sure to have this doctor contact your doctor in NY, so that their will not be a hassle with the prescriptions.

This is just a thought, but is it possible to cut the meds you have back enough that they will make the three days that you have to wait to see the doctor? Call a druggist, or your doc and see if thats possible.

    Will be praying for you.

    Shalom, Shirl

Sending my thoughts out to you! I also am from New York, and wish I was with you. It's pretty darn cold here. Take one day at a time and hope for the best. Good luck to you....keep us posted. queenbee69

And I believe prayer is more powerful than any med. I hope you find rest and relaxation in Florida. I'm originally from NY and have lived in FL for 25 years.

    Be Blessed,

keep hanging on, but bug the heck outta that doc for the possibility of a cancelled appointment. He needs to know that you are accustomed to these meds and, as Sandy told you, withdrawal is not our friend! Praying for your well-being!
    Love,

if you are not comfortable going to the ER maybe you could cut you pills down by 1 or 2 each day in order to strectch them. I know that will be VERY hard on you but at least you will not run out and you will have them in your system. I had to do that when I went to NY from Miami in July. I usually take 6 pain meds a day but went to 4 and made them stretch ...the pain was a little tougher on those days but I made it home without going into a major flare. I hurt for you and will be praying for you. Take care.
