    SLow Dance

    Have you ever watched kids
    on a merry go round?
    Or listened to the rain
    Slapping on the ground?
Ever followed a butterfly's erratic flight?
Or gazed at the sun into the fading night?

    You better slow down

    Don't dance so fast

    Time is short

    The music won't last.

Do you run through each day
    on the fly?
When you ask How are you?
    Do you hear the reply?
    When the day is done
Do you lie in your bed
    With the next hundrend chores
    Running through your head?

    You better slow down

    Don't dance so fast

    Time is short,

    The music won't last.

    Ever told your child,
    we will do it tomorrow?
    And in your haste ,
    not see his sorrow?
    Ever lost touch,
    Let a good friendship die,
    Cause you never had time
    To call and say "Hi"

    You'd better slow down

    Don't dance so fast

    Time is short

    The music won't last

When you run so fast to get some where
you miss half the fun of getting there.
When you worry and hurry though your day,
    It's like an unopened gift...
    Thrown away
    LIfe is not a race

    Do take it slower

    Hear the music

    Before it's over.

This was sent to me from a friend a young girl who has terimal cancer wrote this poem , she wanted t sned a letter telling everyone to live their lives a to the fullest , since she never will. So I am honoring this last request.

I was so touched by this poem that I wanted to share it with you. I have thought about this and it is true. We sometimes do hurry through out our day to get what little things we can do. We don't stop and smell the rose's or hold that little one's hand as he looks up at you with eye's so full of love.
" Turn around and your 2 turn around and your 4 turn around and your young girl walking out of the door.
Can't remember the name of that song.

Just take a minute to stop and smell the rose's.

What a beautiful poem. Thanks so much for sharing. It really does make me stop and think.

The line that hit me the most was about telling a child wait until tomorrow. I have been so guilty of that.

I will try to be more mindful of that.

Where are you going, my little one, little one?
Where are you going, my young one , my own?
Turn around and you're two. Turn around and you're four.
Turn around and you're a young girl going out of the door.

Harry Belafonte used to sing that.
