this is new for me with the fibro stuff.
it seems like this year i am getting 'new' things happening to me
even tho i have had the fibro
    for many many years..
i woke up with a huge welp
on the back of my neck that is still there,
    and just ichy all over.
its not med related im sure.
plus i can tell my mind has gone downhill also.
    have really worse time
    remembering and speaking.
    i know i didnt have a stroke...AND!
if i hear one more person say to me...' oh, i forget stuff alll the time!' ..
why just yesterday i forgot...blah blah blah...
    """ GRRRR!!!

but I'm anxious to see what others have to say. I, too, have been having lots of itching for the past week to 10 days. Honestly at first I thought maybe I was getting shingles but that doesn't appear to be the case. I have taken Benadryl before bed every night for at least a week. Not sure what's going on but I hope we can find out because this is driving me NUTS!

Could it be heat rash ? I get it with all the heat , plus night sweats.
I hope you feel better soon . Is a welp like hives ? I have also had hives , but that was definately from my allergy to pennicilin.

If you think it may be a reaction to the heat , baby powder helps.

I've had very bad itching too but no rash or welps just itching that drives me crazy! :)

I remember when I was a kid my mom would have me
take a bath with baking soda when I was itchy. But I think for this itching I will need to find something different although I just might try a warm bath.

Not sure what could be causing the welps?

    Gentle hugs, Susan

then id know what it was
but this is something that i think is just related
    to the fibro.
i have noticed i have been getting worse
    in other areas also lately.
    . man!!!
    this stuff is sooo strange
and i know my dr wouldnt understand...

You might want to think about the ER. I have learned that anytime I have a realy irritating new prob that I know my Dr won't care about I take the couple of hours and head to the ER. They are more willing to run tests and rule things out. Honestly come to think of it I don't think my Dr. has ever ordered anything but blood work all other tests have come from visits to the ER.

Is the lump hard or soft? I get fibrois lumps/welps when I get really bad and just recently had to have one removed because it was putting pressure on a muscle in my back.

Hope you find some relif! try a good calamine bath for the itching!

If the rash is scaley, try rubbing dandruff shampoo (with zinc)in it, as if it were a lotion.

If its a rash that is discoloration only, aloe lotion can help.
