The regular doctors have not been able to do anything but tell me what this horrific pain is in my low back that is also in my hip, and making my leg and foot numb.

They say it's a pinched nerve, but that I definitely don't want surgery on it now.

OK. So what DO I do about it? My rheumy gave me a script to get physical therapy. Well, I can't walk or move my leg or hip to do therapy ... yet.

So I called a Chiropractor this morning and got an appointment for tomorrow (Friday) at 1:30 pm.

I'm taking all of my CT scans (the written reports) to show him. I hope my back problems don't rule me out on him trying to fix it!

    Wish me luck!

    I'll be cracking up tomorrow!

I hope that will do the trick for you. It did for me! I woke one morning and couldn't walk! Out of the blue. I was taken to ER, where they gave me something for pain, and referred me to an orth. specialist. I knew I couldn't afford that route, so I resorted to a chiro. He immediately told me it was a pinched nerve and gave me an adjustment. I felt a good bit of relief after that first vist, but when I went back the second time...BAM! I felt it release! Granted I was a bit sore for the "cracking up"..lol, but nothing compared to the pain of the pinched nerve itself.
Two visits did it for me, whereas, I figured if I'd gone to the orth. doc, physical therapy, etc...it probably would have drawn out for a year or so, with lots of narcotics, and a lot of money! Best thing I ever did, and was all natural!
Best of luck to you ~ I hope and pray it works for you, too:)

on how you feel afterwards. I do chiro work as well and it does help. For sure bring him your scans and whatever you may think will help him with your treatment with him.
I am happy for you and I hope all goes well!
    Have a good day :)

I think acupressurists can manage that too. I had a nurse friend who couldn't turn herself straight again. It took a few visits but the chiro delivered her of excruciating pain and straightened her out again, literally.

I'm curious how long you've had this pinched nerve, it seems it's not unpinching itself overnight?

the reason I ask, is I went to my doc after my heart palpitatiion scare. Don't know if you read the post where I got super weak for 4 days from switching to sodium ascorbate, then had heart palpitation and numb arm, very scary, never happened before. Because I'd started out that day w/ a kink in my left shoulder blade that pained me all day, my doc claims it was nothing but a pinched nerve.

but it went away the next day. Seems to me as if a real pinched nerve doesn't go away anytime soon. Good luck w/ yours.
