Hello all, I just happen upon this board a few days ago. Here is my story, Earlier this year I had an episode of hypertension and spent an evening in the hospital(which I think may have been some sort of catalyst for my pains?). For years before this, I have had migraines(even had 2 occasions of "Complex Migraine" which gave Symptoms of a stoke where my left side of my body went numb over 13 years ago) , headaches and body aches at one time or another. The body aches were ok and were not every day. Well since this day that I was hospitalized, I have had non-stop body pains pretty much in the neck-shoulder(down to the bottom of shoulder blade area). Lower back (spread out across). Legs burning achy. Knee pains. I think you get the idea. Just pains all over at one point or another, depends on my kind of day of how busy I am. Just the other day my wife found out about Fibromyalgia and this described everything I was going through through. After going through 4 to 5 MRIs, 1 EMG, bloodwork, 4 different muscle relaxers and now current on week 5 of Topamax which is not working much like the muscle relaxers. They did see degeration in my neck and back as in Arthritis in the MRIs, but this is not what is causing these pains. I am a 36 yo Married Male with 2 children from the Boston,MA area. I have read some of the postings on here and I am glad that I am not the only one going through this (Although not glad that others are in pain as well). Well, I don't want to fill this space up too much with this first posting, thank you for allowing me to tell you about myself and have a place to come and learn from others who have been dealing with this longer than I have.
