important point for applying for SSD

    I was very lucky in that , even though I needed to be examined by the SSD doctor, (because I didn't have enough doctors' reports), I qualified immediatly.
    I got no money, only early medicare (4 months). This was because I did not apply soon enough after I stopped working. I had been told by my school district that I would loose my retirement benefits if I applied before age 65. Well, it wasn't true, but because I delayed, I lost the financial benefts. soooo
    Be sure to apply as soon as you possibly can after diagnosis.. I hope this helps someone.

    Good point, we have to be our own advocates and don't take one persons answer but get it from 2 or 3. Thanks for the heads up.
