    In My Final Hour

When my hour glass begins to shine
And the sand is running low,
I want to know I've left behind,
    Some good before I go.

I hope that, in my final hour,
In all honesty I can say
    That somewhere in my lifetime,
    I have brightened someone's day.

    Lord, please be my reminder
And keep whispering in my ear
To be a giver, not a taker,
In the time I have left here.

Deena, you have brightened my day (in this case, night).

    God Bless.
    Shalom, Shirl

Thanks so much for this beautiful poem and "The Bend In The Road." They are both very inspiring--something I can use.

    Love, Mikie

Can't think of anything more that I could pray.
