Sleeping through the night has been a major problem for me and since I got my Solo Far Infrared sauna, I've been sleeping 6 hours or more. What a difference in my energy and attitude!! The sweat is helping me with weight loss too and I'm hoping that the whole body detox effect will help me eventually get my immune system back to normal. The people at Soleil Saunas were awesome - very kind and knowledgeable and they sent me several letters they've gotten from doctors recommending the Solosystem. I was originally going to buy a wooden sauna but they told me that most of their clients who suffer from fibro use the Solosystem instead because it gives them complete far infrared coverage for your whole body. It was a lot less money and they were right - I'm sorry I didn't get this sooner. They are in BC Canada and I found them at www.soleilsaunas.com

As soon as my DH gets a job, we are buying a Solo Sauna from Sunlight Saunas in B.C. It is $2490 Cdn. They do not give that info on the website but I have talked to the lady who sells them.

I know of CFS/FMers who use it every day and feel so much better.

My husband and I recently completely an addition project to our house which left us with our outside storage room a lot bigger than we really needed. I put a bug in my husband's ear about moving the 'workshop' stuff to the garage which would leave us with a nice workout room -- and wouldn't that be just perfect to have a sauna!

Well, I guess I must have said it enough, because in the mail yesterday came a catalog from a sauna company. I think that I would like infrared technology, but some of my inlaws are Finnish, and it ain't a real sauna if it doesn't have the heater and rocks and bucket, etc. That is the only kind of sauna my husband has ever experienced.

Has anyone here experienced both kinds? I'm curious about the difference in outcome between the two.

I think it's great that many saunas come in kits and can be put together (fairly) easily.

I looked at the website and was completely overwhelmed and confused by all the options.

Can you tell me exactly which model you are using? Which Solosystem?

    Thanks, **LdyM
