Iodine and energy

    LadyCarol: Why did you have an iodine infusion? Was it for systemic infection?
    If so, was it in combination with magnesium chloride?

    No it's not for systemic infection. No Mag. Ch. was used.
    They examine for clusters of cancer cells such as in the spleen, lymph nodes etc. I also had a barium drink prior to the scan.

    Iodine and barium act as contrast materials which allows the radiologist to distinguish normal from abnormal conditions. They are used as a standard procedure as an aid in the pre-treatment decision process. Also at a later date another CT scan will be done to allow comparison of progress (or not) of treatment.

    OK. I thought you were saying that the iodine was for therapeutic purposes.
