I'm allergic to fruits & vegetables - cooked or not.

Do you get any problems from eating them fresh/raw?

For me it's a condition called Oral Allergy Syndrome (OAS)

When I eat fresh/raw fruits or veggies I get a mixed bunch of reactions.

Apples, Celery, Oranges, Bananas etc all cause my tongue & gums to swell, burn and at times - bleed.

Lettuce, gives me no oral problems - but it will make me sick for DAYS.

Along with the lettuce, things like beans, corn, carrots etc all do a job on my stomach. I'll almost instantly feel SOO bloated, but nothing really helps to get rid of it.

Both my sister and I have to drink Pedialite type stuff when our stomachs are acting up. Dehydration isn't nearly as bad for me as it is for my sister. She's actually considered chronically & clinically dehydrated.

Gastric & digestive distress are a major part of OAS when it comes to fruits & veggies.

There's quite a bit of info on OAS that's really helpful now that it's becoming more of a common problem.

    Good luck!

    but not raw.

I can eat salad, but only once or twice a week.

I have Crohn's Disease and I will pay if I eat uncooked veggies or too much salad.

    I can however eat fruit.
