Is it Fibro or the Flu???? How do you know???

How do you tell if you are having a fibro flare or if you are actually sick with a 'bug'???? After all these years of dealing with fibro, I STILL can't tell, unless I actually run a fever, which I do sometimes with the fibro anyway.

I've had a very bad few days. Intense body and joint pain and fatigue, but no fever, no headache (amazingly), no sore throat, no cough or congestion. Sounds like a bad fibro flare, right? But this morning the back of my throat feels a bit scratchy and my sinuses are complaining and draining. But that could be fibro too...

I work very hard not to catch colds and flu, because, as you all know very well, having fibro magnifies those symptoms greatly. Body aches? The non-fibro person doesn't know from body aches...

So. Does anyone have any wise words on this? How do you know if you're sick or flaring? If it warrants a doctor visit or just the usual fibro home care?
