I read within a post, and don't know which one, that people had problems with their brain being awake but not being able to move. I have been experiencing terrible daytime sleppiness and was researching narcolepsy and found, in Wikipedia, something called "sleep paralysis" which sounds EXACTLY LIKE what these people were describing!

So google narcolepsy or sleep paralysis and see if that helps you, even if it is just to be able to say "I am not crazy"!!!

my spouse has experienced this for many years, more often when she is under a lot of stress. The best thing to do is relax and be aware that this will pass if you go back to sleep. It is an actual sleep disorder and if that is happening to you, you are not going crazy or being abducted by aliens!
