It is Written; A gossip..........................

    It is written; A gossip betrays a confidence;
so avoid a man who talks too much.
    ( Proverbs 20:19 *NIV )

Unfortunately, almost every Church has a gossip one must
deal with. Sadly to say sometimes they even run new members
off. They should remember that our Savior, Jesus Christ said,
"Judge not, and you shall not be judged. Condemn
not, and you shall not be condemned. Forgive, and
you will be forgiven. ( Luke 6:37 )

Therefore today's message is about the way a new Church
member handled the Church gossip. This was sent to me , and I hope it will make you laugh as it did me.

    Subject: Church Gossip

Sarah, the Church gossip and self-appointed arbiter of the
Church's morals, kept sticking her nose into other people's
business. Now several members were unappreciative of her
activities, but feared her enough to maintain their silence.

She made a mistake, however, when she accused George,
a new member of being an alcoholic, after she saw his pickup
parked in front of the town's only bar one afternoon.

She commented to George and others that everyone seeing
it there would know what he was doing. However, George, a
man of few words, stared at her for a moment and just walked
away. He didn't explain, defend or deny--he said nothing.
However, how fitting it was that later that evening, George
quietly parked his pickup in front of Sarah's house and left it
    there all night.......

Have a Wonderful Weekend , and don't forget
to attend your Church this weekend. Amen.

I'd read the joke before, and it's still funny! My hubby is that kinda

Since I can no longer attend Church, this has become my place of worship, and I've missed it not being more active. I've also taken to watching a few programs on tv, and of course my Bible. But it doesn't take the place of "community" that I feel here on the board. I really need this to continue to grow.

The scripture is true, not only for Church, but also this site. I'm thinking I've been guilty of "judging" others even here, and need to work on that. Thanks, Shirl.............Jole

Glad you got a laugh at that one! It made me laugh too. I could just picture her face when that pickup was in front of her house all night!

A friend that sends me devotionals daily, sent this today, and though it would get a few laughs here as well.

God bless, and have a goodday......

    Shalom, Shirl
