I'm betting you'll need more info than this, but...looked up my son's natal chart...what does it mean when the "node" is in retrograde?

The moon has a north node and a south node. Dragon's head and dragon's tail. They are opposite each other, and represent polarities, emotional residue from past lives.

Planets are retrograde in your chart when they appear to be traveling backwards in your chart. This is an illusion that occurs due to the orbit patterns of the earth and other planets. The only two bodies in your chart that are never retrograde are the moon and the sun.

The nodes, however, are normally retrograde because of the rotation of the moon. From time to time they are not retrograde because the moon wobbles. That's considered not a good thing in a person's chart.

So retrograde nodes are normal, and a good thing.
