    Hi,

I have had CFS for 12 years. Over the last week I have devoloped a new symptom. I talk constantly during my sleep and I jerk occationally. I end up jabbing my husband. While I am totally unaware of this activity, it is driving my husband nuts.

I am using a tens unit for extreme pain in my left side and the top of my spine. I am taking hydromorphone and lyrica for the pain.

Does anyone have any idea. I am stumped. Thanks for any help.

if jerk when asleep in stage 2 non rem it is periodic limb movement disorder (PLMD) , a sleep study will dx this.

if jerk at sleep onset it is sleep onset myoclonus, questionable if a sleep study can pick this up, if it has for anyone please let me know. thx

    peace

My arms and legs jerk constantly at night. Sometimes it wakes me up, and other times it doesn't. It usually wakes up my boyfriend, he says it happens a few times a night. I have no idea what causes it but I'm reluctant to mention it to my Dr. because I'm sure he will just prescribe more medicine for it which is about the last thing I need right now.
