I've had pain in my shoulders and neck for 20 years, last 5 pain everywhere. 2yrs ago heel spirs, they lasted 1 yr.I started hydrocodone for the pain, it helped along with advil for inflamation. I'm still taking hydrocodone, cymbalta, and now prednisone? I'm sooo.. tired all the time I never miss work but Wen.I came home sick.. irritable bowel, to tired to work. Does any one have pain in their hands? My Dr said fibro not connected to brain fog!!I think I need a new Dr. Anyone know a Fibro Dr in the Greenwood or Columbia S.C. area?

    Welcome! Welcome! Welcome!

I truly wish you had not found us, or I should say I wish you didn't have a need to find us here. I am sorry for the diagnosis, and yet glad that you have at least found a doctor that has begun to treat you.

Your doc saying brain fog is not connected to Fibromyalgia would be "tarred and feathered"if he came around here! I mean that! Goodness, ......I just don't know what to say other than this isn't a safe place for a person who believes that!

I can't help you with the area doc's but I want to tell you that you will find answers to things you never even thought of asking if you stick around here long enough. This place great way to become educated but also to find good friends and support along the road of FM.

    Welcome Again!

    A great big welcome!

Sounds as if you do need a new doctor. Brainfog is definitely a symptom of FMS; some people call it fibrofog. I have pain in my hands only relieved by resting them. Someone here recommended a paraffin wax hand/foot bath.

Glad you found us, but am sorry you are in such pain. I hope you find a doctor soon that will help you.

You need to get the book: 'Fibromyalgia Advocate' by Devin Starlanyl. This book is by a doctor that has FM herself. Excellent book on all the symptoms, and much help on what to do, bring it to that doctor you see, or find a new one that believes in this illness.

Again, welcome to the board, and hope we hear from you often.
