Help is there a way to disable a 2004 chevy silverado pickup. like a kill switch or something? don't say distributor cap cause my dad worked on cars his whole life and he would figure that out quit.

You didn't say why your dad should stop driving. If he is impaired (my Dad was impaired due to medical problems) and cannot drive safely, he can be reported to motor vehicles and they usually set up a field driver's test for him. My Dad was notified to appear for a field driver's test in order to keep his license, but we were able to finally get him into an very nice assisted living place and at the same time my sister-in-law took and sold his car. So he never made the driver's test and his driver's license was taken away.

There are many ways to disable--take the ignition keys and hope he doesn't hot wire it, flatten tires, cut and remove belts from the engine. But if your Dad is very mechanical, he will recognize that it has been tampered with.

Talk to his doctor about having his licence taken away.
